The DJI Zenmuse Z3 is an integrated zoom lens camera based on DJI's Zenmuse X3 and optimised for still photography. A 7x zoom lens, consisting of 3.5x optical and 2x digital lossless zoom lens, gives it a focal length ranging from 22 mm to 77 mm, making it ideal for industrial applications.

Real-time zoom display
When shooting at the highest resolution possible, 4K video or 12 megapixel photos, optical zoom can be used and the zoomed-in image is immediately visible in the DJI GO livefeed. When shooting photos at 1080p, the lossless zoom function allows you to use the full 7x zoom lens without sacrificing full HD image quality.

Improved stability
When a camera is zoomed in, the smallest movements are magnified. Adding an extra layer of control to the yaw motor has resulted in more refined and controlled movement possible.

High image quality
With the same highly refined Sony 1 / 2.3-inch sensor as the DJI Inspire 1 2.0 and DJI Phantom 4, image quality is industry-leading. Still images can be captured at a resolution of 12 megapixels, while Adobe DNG RAW support enables advanced image processing. Video can be recorded at up to 30 frames per second in crisp 4K.

Applications
The ability to zoom in from the air creates many new opportunities to streamline and improve the industrial and commercial use of drones, from power line inspection to search and rescue. It also offers aerial photographers more control over composition.
