Performance & Functionality

Once the FOV Boost Lens is attached correctly, the Osmo Action 6 automatically detects it and switches to FOV Boost Lens mode. By increasing the field of view to 182 degrees, this lens delivers wider scene coverage, making images feel more spacious and immersive without cropping in post-processing. It supports multiple shooting modes including Photo, Video, Portrait, Subject Tracking, Timelapse and SuperNight, with all compatible resolutions and frame rates. Slow Motion mode is not supported with this lens, but enhanced electronic image stabilisation (RS/HB) remains available.

Build quality & design

The FOV Boost Lens is compact and lightweight, weighing about 40 g and physical dimensions of about 38.65 × 38.65 × 17.64 mm. It comes with a protective silicone top cover and a special storage box for safe transport and protection when not in use. When mounted correctly, the camera maintains a water resistance of up to 5 metres, although use underwater may cause image distortion and is not recommended.
