LIVOX Mid-70 LiDAR

The Mid-70 is another component in our portfolio that enhances Livox's overall market appeal through tailored applications such as low-speed autonomous driving and mobile robotics. By significantly expanding the vertical viewing angle, reducing blind areas and increasing short-range accuracy, the Mid-70 provides extremely comprehensive data quality for point clouds to ensure safer autonomy.



Wider viewing angle, smaller blind zone
The Mid-70's circular field of view extends to 70.4° both horizontally and vertically, and the minimum field of view has been reduced to just 5cm. The larger viewing angle and smaller blind zone allows the system to better explore the environment and efficiently recognise and avoid small objects. With these advances in increasing the viewing angle and reducing the blind zone, autonomous driving systems can now be safely used for numerous applications and in a wide variety of locations, such as airports, shopping malls, hospitals and other busy and complex environments.



Cost efficiency
Compared to the current market, where mainly expensive laser emitters or immature MEMS scanners are used, the Mid-70 uses low-cost, high-performance semiconductor components for light generation and detection. The entire optical system, including the scanning units, uses proven and readily available optical components such as those used in the optical lens industry.
