The Hoodman Ground Control Point 5 Pack (6-10) is a professional set of ground markers designed specifically for drone mapping, photogrammetry and surveying applications. This kit contains five clear ground markers numbered from 6 to 10, so they can easily be combined with the 1-5 set for larger mapping projects. By placing these markers in the terrain, drone operators and survey software can use accurate reference points to scale and georeference aerial imagery correctly.

Performance & Functionality

Each marker has a diameter of about 0.9 metres and features a contrasting black-orange pattern with large numbers that are easily visible from the air. This allows drones and mapping software to easily detect the markers in photos and videos. The integrated 24-inch (about 61 cm) scale markers help create additional reference points for accurate measurements. At the centre of each marker is a brass grommet into which a surveying stick or GPS reference can be inserted to determine the exact position of the control point.

Build Quality & Design

The markers are made of sturdy 600-denier polyester and feature a galvanised steel cable in the rim that provides extra weight and stability. This keeps them in place without always requiring ground pins. For long-term installations, there are four fastening loops per marker that allow them to be securely fastened to the ground. The markers automatically pop open when unfolded and can be folded to about one-third of their size for easy transport in the included carrying bag.
