Design specially adapted to individual cameras for better stabilisation
To perfect the function of the Zenmuse Z15, the camera head was adapted to special cameras.
The DJI Zenmuse Z15 has been adapted to the Sony Nex5/7 and Panasonic GH1/2.
With optional accessories, it is possible to convert the Z15-N (SONY Nex series) to the Z15-G (PANASONIC GH series).
Different control modes for controlling the DJI Zenmuse Z15
The DJI Zenmuse Gimbal has 3 different modes available that can be switched during flight via RC remote control.
- Fixed orientation mode (compass)
- Mode without fixed orientation
- FPV mode with centre stand
This enables all major control options for aerial photography.
360° 3-axis rotation angle for the perfect perspective
A 360° movement on the 3 axes PAN/ROLL/NICK is possible via high-quality sliding contacts, there are no limits to the freedom of movement of the DJI Zenmuse Z15.
The gimbal's cabling is secured in special cable ducts.
Independent IMU for stabilising the Z15 Zenmuse
Years of development by DJI on UAV autopilot systems for helicopters and multicopters have led to great advances in attitude control algorithms.
This advancement is what makes the Zenmuse Z15 with its built-in IMU unit so extremely stable and reliable.
The IMU is fully wired and installation is very easy.
Independent main remote control
Separate control of the gimbal via CAN bus is connected to the IMU and flight control (Wookong M or H), allowing sensor data from the flight control to flow into the complex algorithms of the camera stabilisation.

DJI has specially adapted and further developed the drive units for the extremely fast movements and reaction times.

HDMI-AV converter module for Zenmuse Z15
The need to have a live view of the cameras for control and the fact that the matching cameras do not have a normal composite AV output led DJI to develop a converter module integrated into the gimbal.
A simple and straightforward solution was created that is as simple as it is ingenious.
S-Bus receiver support
To control the DJI Zenmuse Z15, all standard receivers from common manufacturers are supported.
A Futaba S-Bus receiver can also be used to avoid unnecessary cabling.
Rotation over 3 axes
Stabilisation of the Zenmuse gimbal on all 3 axes is ALWAYS done at maximum accuracy and speed, with manual movement of the camera controlled via the stick deflection on the remote control, allowing very precise control.
