DJI RS3
Ready when you are:
With every detail, DJI RS 3 delivers a flexible and efficient shooting experience to solo creators and independent crews. Light and sleek, it offers professional stabilisation and efficient control for greater creative freedom and endless possibilities. DJI RS 3 is ready when you are.
Quick-change plates:
Double-layer quick release plates make it quick and easy to mount a camera on the RS 3, without having to rebalance the gimbal suspension after changing a new battery or memory card.
A newly added fine adjustment knob on the tilt axis allows the camera to slide forward or backward with millimetre precision to make accurate balance easier to achieve when changing lenses.
Automated axle locks:
With RS 3, you can get started right away. When the gimbal is switched off, press and hold the on/off button and the three axes unlock while the gimbal automatically expands, allowing you to get to work within seconds. Press the power button once and the axes will automatically lock and go into sleep mode, making transport and travel significantly more efficient. Press and hold the on/off button and it folds and locks automatically.
Wireless shutter control:
By implementing Dual-Mode Bluetooth, RS 3 supports wireless shutter control [1], saving time and effort in every use. After the first Bluetooth pairing, you can control video and still images by simply pressing the record button on the stabiliser. Previously paired cameras can automatically reconnect after the first use, eliminating the need for a camera control cable.
Excellent weight to payload ratio:
Weighing just 1.3 kg/2.8 lbs (including cardanic suspension, battery grip and quick release plates), the RS 3 can be easily held in one hand, while its 3 kg/6.6 lb load capacity is more than enough to support regular cameras, including the Sony A7S3 or Canon R5 with a 24-70mm F2.8 lens.
3rd generation RS stabilisation algorithm:
Thanks to a next-generation RS stabilisation algorithm, RS 3 offers improved stability in any scenario. Laboratory tests show that RS 3 20% offers more stability compared to RSC 2, allowing effortless shooting from low angles, running scenarios or switching between high and low positions.
Beyond smooth:
Enable SuperSmooth mode if you want even smoother results. RS 3 will increase motor torque to further improve stabilisation and deliver stable images, even in fast-moving scenarios or when using 100 mm-equivalent focal lenses.
1.8″ OLED touchscreen:
Compared to the black-and-white screen of the RSC 2, the RS 3 features a 1.8-inch OLED full-colour touchscreen with an 80% larger screen. It also supports most Ronin app settings and offers intuitive and precise control along with the redesigned user interface.
Direct mode switching:
By simply sliding the new gimbal mode switch, you can switch between Pan tracking, Pan and Tilt tracking and FPV modes. FPV mode selection can also be changed to 3D Roll 360, Portrait or Custom, allowing you to customise your equipment and get started quickly.
Customisable front dial:
By turning the front dial, you can zoom or focus. It can also be adjusted to control shutter, aperture, ISO, [2] or cardanic movements of the camera, making it exceptionally convenient for one-handed operation.
Monitoring via smartphone:
RS 3 supports the Ronin Image Transmitter (formerly known as the Ronin RavenEye Image Transmitter) [3] to transmit 1080p/30fps HD live feeds directly to a mobile device. The maximum transmission distance is 200 metres [4] and the end-to-end transmission latency is only 60ms. [4] A smartphone can also be connected to the NATO port on RS 3 with the phone holder for wireless monitoring.
Integrated monitoring and control:
Adjust camera exposure remotely directly in the Ronin app [2] or control the gimbal with the virtual joystick for an integrated monitoring and control experience.
Force mobile:
With the Ronin Image Transmitter, a smartphone can be used as a motion controller to remotely control the RS 3 gimbal for more flexible and dynamic camera movements.
Quick-release design:
The new RS 3 battery grip has a patterned design, making it easier to change batteries and smaller for storage compared to RSC 2. It can even be charged independently of the gimbal.
12 hours usage time + fast charging:
The new battery grip offers extended runtime of up to 12 hours, enough for all-day shooting. It supports 18W PD fast charging with a charging time of just 2.5 hours. It can be used even while charging to power the RS 3 almost indefinitely.
