Drone and payload
What is the IP rating (degree of protection) of the DJI FlyCart 30? Can it fly in the rain?
The DJI FlyCart 30 has an IP55 rating. The protection rating is not permanent and may decrease due to ageing and wear and tear from long-term use. The rating does not apply to the propulsion system. After a flight in the rain, it is recommended to let the aircraft idle on the ground for 1 minute to prevent corrosion or rust on the propulsion system (if rainfall exceeds 24.9 mm within 24 hours).
What is the flight performance?
Maximum route speed: 15 m/s. Maximum flight speed in S mode: 20 m/s. Maximum flight altitude: 6000 m.
What is special about the propulsion system?
The system features standard carbon fibre blades and optimised motor heat dissipation for more powerful performance. The 4-axis, 8-propeller configuration supports short emergency flight after failure of a single drive unit, providing increased safety.
The propulsion system has a 4-axis coaxial design. If one engine fails, the remaining seven engines can still function properly so that the DJI FlyCart 30 can land safely. During landing, you retain essential control over the flight, including control over altitude and horizontal movements, allowing you to select a safe landing spot if necessary.
What functions do the Active Phased Array Radar and Binocular Vision support?
The Active Phased Array Radar and Binocular Vision can detect horizontal obstacles in multiple directions and support height detection from 0 to 200 m.
Does the DJI FlyCart 30 support ADS-B?
Yes. The built-in ADS-B signal receiver can detect the location data of civil aircraft, helicopters and other vehicles equipped with ADS-B transmitters within a range of 15 km. The system sends alerts to the operator so that they can avoid a collision to ensure flight and airspace safety.
Can a remote control be used to adjust the angle of the FPV camera?
Yes. A remote control can be used to flexibly adjust the angle of the FPV camera.
Does the DJI FlyCart 30 support arm lock detection?
Yes. The DJI FlyCart 30 has a built-in arm lock function. If the arms are not fully extended, a warning message is displayed in DJI Pilot 2 and take-off is prohibited.
Which payload configurations are supported?
Cargo mode (cargo box), Winch mode (winch) and third-party payload systems developed on the DJI Payload SDK.
What functions does the winch system support?
The winch system has a lowering mode and supports both manual and automatic operation. It has practical functions such as Swing Control (pendulum control) and weighing, and supports an emergency Cut Cable Protection function. After using the Cut Cable Protection, contact customer service for repair.
Is it recommended to switch on the Swing Control function on windy days?
No.
Battery and charger
Can the DJI FlyCart 30 take off if the two intelligent flight batteries have different power levels?
If the difference in voltage or capacity between the two batteries is too large, the app gives the message, “The voltage or capacity difference between the two batteries is too large, making take-off impossible.” The parameters are as follows:
-
Voltage difference: At $> 10^circtext{C}$: $Delta V leq 2text{ V}$; at $< 10^circtext{C}$: $Delta V leq 1text{ V}$.
-
Capacity difference: At $> 10^circtext{C}$: $Delta SOC leq 10%$; at $< 10^circtext{C}$: $Delta SOC leq 8%$.
How long does it take to fully charge two intelligent flight batteries?
At normal temperatures, when two AC power cables are connected, it takes about 26.5 minutes to charge a single battery from 0% to 98%; it takes about 36.6 minutes to charge two batteries from 0% to 98%.
Why do smart flight batteries get hot when stored for a long time?
When batteries are stored for long periods of time, they automatically switch on the “self-discharge on storage” function to ensure safety and prolong service life. This involves discharging a high-performance battery to about 60%. The batteries may become slightly warm during this process, which is normal.
Can smart flight batteries be used in low-temperature environments?
The operating temperature of the batteries is between -20°C and 45°C. Use in cold environments shortens battery life; therefore plan your flight time carefully. For maximum performance, heating the battery to above 10°C before flight is recommended.
If the temperature of a battery is below 20°C during charging, the heating function is first activated before the actual charging process begins.
When the battery is installed and switched on in the drone, it will automatically activate the self-heating function at low temperatures to maintain a temperature of around 10°C to 12°C.
What is the service life of an intelligent escape battery?
A battery has a lifespan of 12 months or 1,500 cycles, whichever comes first.
Can intelligent flight batteries be carried on a plane?
A battery has an energy content of 1984.4 Wh. According to airline regulations, it cannot be carried on board.
How many batteries can be charged simultaneously with the DJI C8000 intelligent charger?
Two batteries can be charged simultaneously. The maximum charging capacity is 2 x 3600 watts with two batteries and up to 5700 watts with a single battery.
What kind of generator can be used with the DJI C8000 charger?
For fast charging via a third-party generator, choose a generator with a 220 V single-phase output and a rated output of 8 kW or higher.
Is the DJI D12000iE generator supported?
It is currently not supported.
Remote control and video transmission
How do I charge the remote control?
It is recommended to use a standard charger. A third-party charger should meet USB Power Delivery specifications and have a power rating of at least 40 watts.
Does the DJI FlyCart 30 remote control support 4G network cards?
Yes, the remote supports both DJI's custom 4G IoT card and user-purchased Nano-SIM cards.
Does the device support ‘4G enhanced transmission’?
Yes. The connections of the enhanced 4G transmission and the DJI O3 transmission are converged, allowing seamless switching between the two.
Are other DJI drones supported?
Other DJI drones are currently not supported by this particular configuration.
Is the ‘Dual Operator’ mode supported?
Yes, Dual Operator mode is supported.
