DJI Matrice 4 Obstacle Sensing Module

The DJI Matrice 4 Obstacle Sensing Module is an advanced sensor upgrade for your DJI Matrice 4 series drone. It combines rotary LiDAR technology and millimetre-wave radar, allowing the drone to detect environmental obstacles even in difficult conditions such as low light levels or near fine objects like power lines. This makes flying in complex environments such as substations, power line networks or densely forested areas significantly safer.

Performance and functionality

Combining LiDAR sensors with five-directional millimetre wave radar, this module provides omnidirectional detection and can detect objects up to about 12 mm thick at speeds up to about 15 m/s. The module supports detection up to about 100 m away, allowing your drone to automatically or manually assess obstacles and fly more safely in areas where visual systems are deficient.

Build quality and design

The compact and robust design has an IP55 protection rating (when used on a Matrice 4D), making it resistant to dust and light rain. The module weighs about 225-235g, is temperature resistant between -20°C and +50°C, and comes with an adapter bracket, tools and reflective stickers for easy installation on your drone.
