LIVOX Horizon LiDAR

Livox Horizon is a powerful LiDAR sensor specially designed for applications with autonomy levels 3 and 4. It offers a particularly dense point cloud and, with a range of up to 260 metres, is specially designed for measuring longer distances. It is so compact that it can be easily integrated into vehicles. With a cost of only 1% compared to conventional LiDAR sensors, it is also exceptionally affordable. Livox Horizon is poised to completely reinvent the LIDAR industry. With it, mass production of autonomous vehicles, through the use of innovative technologies and huge cost savings, can become a reality.



WIDE FIELD OF VISION FOR AUTONOMOUS DRIVING
Its delivered detection range and rectangular field of view make Livox Horizon the ideal sensor for autonomous driving applications. The innovative scan pattern provides a field of view of 81.7° horizontally and 25.1° vertically. Only five Livox Horizon sensors enable full 360° coverage of the field of view.



HIGH COVERAGE ELIMINATES BLIND SPOTS
Livox Horizon offers triple the coverage of point clouds than the Mid series. This is made possible by the non-repetitive horizontal scan pattern with multiple laser heads. The coverage ratio of the point cloud reaches almost 100% after a short time. The point cloud far exceeds the density of a mechanical 64-line LiDAR sensor - ensuring safe and reliable autonomous driving. In addition, the more even distribution of density in the point cloud ensures that space in the field of view can be captured without blind spots.



UNLEASH THE POTENTIAL
The Livox SDK provides support for various programming languages, including C, C ++ and Python on different platforms such as Linux, Windows and ROS - making it easier to integrate and test the Livox LiDAR sensors in any environment. Livox also provides commonly used algorithms (such as SLAM; Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping). External parameter calibration helps users get the most out of the sensor.



CLASSIFIED INFORMATION
Livox also provides classified data for common objects such as vehicles, pedestrians or bicycles. This allows developers to verify algorithms faster and reduce learning costs. This increases efficiency and offers further benefits when using Livox LiDAR sensors.



ROBUST AND RELIABLE
Horizon LiDAR sensors use an innovative, optoelectronic system and are free of mechanical and rotating components. This makes Livox's sensors more reliable and robust than traditional LiDAR sensors with moving optoelectronic components. This design avoids problems often associated with solid-state LiDARs, such as high cost, short sensing ranges and failures due to immature technology. In addition, the Livox Horizon LiDAR sensor is designed to meet the standards for autonomous vehicles VW 80000 and ISO 16750 and meet the requirements in mass production applications in autonomous driving levels 3 and 4.
