Parachute Zephyr for Matrice 300 RTK with crash detection
With the simple parachute and Zéphyr M300 circuit breaker kit for DJI Matrice 300 RTK drone, you can secure your flights and slow down the fall rate of your Matrice 300 RTK in case of trouble, simply by requesting that the motors be switched off and the parachute deployed. with the dedicated stand-alone remote control.
You can choose between internal or external circuit breakers. Ability to easily and quickly remove the parachute from your drone, especially during an S2 scenario.
The lightest parachute system on the market: only 450 g!
The basic parachute kit includes an ultra-fast CO2 canvas ejection system and a dedicated autonomous remote control with 30 hours of autonomy (attachable to the Smart Controller).
The parachute is also available in a DGAC S2 S3 approved kit with an internal circuit breaker (to be installed in the workshop) or external (to be placed between the batteries and the drone). Each version of the circuit breaker includes an audible alarm and support to power and charge the parachute when the drone is on.
The lightest engine shutdown parachute system in the world!
The parachute kit + internal circuit breaker is the lightest solution available on the market, with a total weight of only 455 g. It maintains the main payload capacity for the DJI M300 in S3 scenario: 1.25 kg of available payload! In scenario S2, the maximum possible weight increases to 2.25 kg.
Keep in mind that with equivalent payload capacity, the flight time with the Zéphyr parachute is longer than with any other parachute system.
The internal circuit breaker is installed in the drone by us in the workshop. The operation is reversible, does not alter the drone and ensures that the DJI factory warranty is maintained. The audio alarm module connects to the USB-C connector available under the drone.
The circuit breaker can be used alone, without parachute, to increase the available load and flight time for scenario S2. The payload of the Matrice 300 in scenario S2 increases to 2.7 kg in this configuration!
Ultra-fast system configuration
Attached to the drone's 4 upper threads, the parachute can be disassembled in less than a minute. An optional bracket is available in our shop to attach it under the drone when using the upper pod.
The external circuit breaker kit can also be disassembled in seconds. Circuit breaker modules are easily inserted between the batteries and the drone. They immediately include the audible alarm. Their weight is 200 g.
All kit elements can be stored in the original flight case supplied by DJI with the drone.
The fastest, most reliable and efficient CO2 system
The Zéphyr parachute CO2 injection system is proven and has been used for more than 5 years by a majority of French drone pilots. Countless successive tests and improvements have brought this system to a level of reliability never before achieved on a drone parachute.
Pressurised gas (60 bar!) is released in a fraction of a second to propel the parachute fabric out of its container. The excess gas released (each cartridge contains several dozen litres) is used to accelerate the deployment of the cloths and minimise height loss upon parachute activation.
The system can be reset within seconds. The CO2 cartridge is the only consumable that needs to be replaced after deployment on the system, and a cartridge costs only a few dollars.
On the Zéphyr M300 single-canvas parachute system, the CO2 ejection system allows the canvas to be ejected and opened in just 1.2 s, corresponding to an altitude loss of 15 m from an initial drop speed of about 6 m/s.
The lightest, most stable and efficient parachute fabrics for drones
The new PARA² fabrics used in Zéphyr parachute systems are the result of 3 years of development. Their innovative ultralight design and unique design give PARA² fabrics superior efficiency and stability. In single canvas systems, the sink rate is minimised relative to the canvas surface. When used in pairs, PARA² fabrics do not interfere with each other and optimise the overall sink rate. Each Zephyr parachute is designed so that the canvas(s) keeps the drone as flat as possible during its fall to minimise damage during impact.
On the Zéphyr M300 single-canvas parachute system, the fall speed for an 8 kg mass is only 3.2 m/s, i.e. an impact energy of only 41 J, much lower than the maximum 69 J allowed in France.
An encrypted long-range communication system
The long-range communication system between the radio and the parachute is based on advanced technologies and LoRa modulation. The range can reach several kilometres in optimal conditions, and a long-range option allows it to exceed 10 km.
The communication protocol is based on 869 MHz frequencies, authorisation-free (433 and 915 MHz options possible). 128-bit encryption ensures that data is not intercepted and that the user is notified in case of communication failure.
Convenient functions for the user
The parachute, circuit breaker and radio control modules are equipped with LEDs for status indication and advanced functions.
The LEDs indicate the remaining battery charge when switching on and off, as well as the battery level while charging. In operation, they indicate the instantaneous state of the system: correct operation, loss of radio link, low battery level, etc.
Combined with a circuit breaker, the parachute automatically turns on when the drone is switched on. Without a signal, and if you forget to switch off the parachute or radio control, the modules automatically switch off after 10 minutes.
A time-stamped log system integrated on the parachute and radio. It records trigger actions performed by the user for diagnostic purposes.
Many options . ahead of regulations!
The options available with Zéphyr parachutes allow you to get ahead of French and European regulations.
On the remote control side, it is possible to add a second redundant trigger button. This second button avoids the possible untimely pressing of a single button and doubles the autonomy of the remote control. Safety caps protect the buttons from accidental pressing. A buzzer module is available on request. It generates an audible warning in case of loss of connection to the parachute. With a long-range option, the radio range can be extended to more than 10 km if required. It is also possible to connect several radio controls to one parachute, or several parachutes to one radio control.
On the parachute side, a crash detection and automatic deployment module is available on request. this module will eventually be compatible with ASTM3322 standards and future European standards (classes C5 and C6 for the STS-01 and STS-02 scenarios).
