Enhanced LiDAR technology LiDAR technology has been significantly improved and now boasts 76,800 range points, representing an increase of 77% compared to previous versions. This upgrade has refined the detection of edges around human subjects, significantly reducing the occurrence of focus-hunting - a common problem where the camera fails to maintain stable focus.
Extended focus distance This advanced LiDAR system supports a maximum focusing distance of 20 metres, improving its ability to focus sharply on human subjects from a distance. This represents a threefold increase in focusing power over previous models, which is especially beneficial for telephoto lens use where focusing over longer distances is required.
Wider field of vision The 70-degree field of view offered by this LiDAR system expands the framing possibilities both at the edge and at short distances. This improvement provides photographers and filmmakers with an expanded canvas to capture their desired compositions without compromise.
High refresh rate With a refresh rate of 30 Hz, the LiDAR system efficiently collects data on moving subjects. This high refresh rate ensures more reliable focusing performance in dynamic environments where subjects move unpredictably.
Autofocus for manual lenses In conjunction with the DJI Focus Pro Motor, this enhanced LiDAR technology enables autofocus capabilities on manual lenses, provided they are correctly calibrated. This feature is especially beneficial for filmmakers and photographers who prefer the tactile control of manual lenses but also want the convenience of autofocus.
Adaptive control mode The operational features of the LiDAR system include a standard detection range of 10 metres in the 1x mode of the stabiliser's screen. For more flexibility, users can easily switch to a 20-metre range by tapping the + icon to activate the 2x zoom mode. This adaptability makes it easy to manage focusing distances efficiently, switching seamlessly from closer to longer distances.
