Unitree Go2 self-charging board

The Unitree Go2 Self-Charging Board is a specially designed charging base for the Unitree Go2 robot (especially Go2 EDU Plus). It is designed to automatically or semi-automatically charge the robot through contact charging, eliminating the need to manually change the battery. This base provides an efficient and built-in solution for long-term robot applications and reduces interruptions caused by continuous charging.

Performance and functionality

This charging platform works by allowing the Go2 robot to be positioned to make direct contact, after which charging via the base starts. With a charging voltage of 33.6 V and a maximum charging current of up to 9 A, it delivers a powerful and fast recharge cycle. The automatic docking principle means users need to spend less time replacing batteries, which is especially valuable in labs, teaching environments and long-term projects. Build quality and design

The board is built with durability and reliability in mind. It can be used in environments with temperatures from 5 °C to 40 °C and relative humidity up to 95 %. The design makes integration into fixed routines easy, for example as a station in a robot patrol route or research setup, and provides consistent and repeatable charge alignment.

Why you need it

If you deploy a Unitree Go2 robot for long-term, autonomous tasks or have education and development projects, this station makes workflow much more efficient. It reduces downtime, simplifies charging behaviour and helps keep batteries charged in a structured way - ideal for continuous use without much manual interaction.

About products

1. What product do you have and the purpose they are?

Go1 Air and Go1 Pro is made for robot fans and robot starters, positioned in consumers’ grades, robot fans.
Go1 Edu version are focusing on education and scientific research, entertainment, cool play, and robot researchers, developers.
AlienGo and B1, the main industry landing (all-terrain inspections, such as substation inspections, construction surveying and mapping, etc.), such as for electric power, for petrochemical, and for coal as a forward-looking industry technology pre-research.
Z1 Robotic Arm series it's ablaze to cooperate with Aliengo and B1(more suitable) quadruped and other mobile robots to complete complex tasks and explore various application scenarios.

2. How far for remote control?

With default controller, it's like connect with WIFI hot spot, The range for phone connect with robot dog is around 50 metres to 60 metres, With upgraded controller, with unobstructed, free of interference you can control with maximum 500 metres to 1KM, but with normally situation you can at least control with 200 metres.
The upgraded controller is a mini handheld ground station like DJI RC Pro for drone, that's why have much stronger remote-control ability.

3. Is the robot dog able to climb the stairs?

All able climb the stairs, maximum climb height is
Go1: 12cm (4.7 inches)
AlienGo: 18cm (7 inches)
B1: 20cm (7.9 inches)
Noted: Boston Dynamic spot: typically 7-inch rise for 10-11-inch

4. What is maximum Speed for the robot dog?

Go1: 4.7m/s (10.5 mph)
AlienGo: 2m/s (4.47 mph)
B1: 1.8m/s (4 mph)
Noted: Boston Dynamic spot: 1.6m/s

5. Is robot dog support dustproof and water proof?

Only B1 support, and other model not support.

6. What is maximum payload for the robot dog?

Go1: 3-5kg (6.6-11 lbs)
AlienGo: 10kg (22 lbs)
B1: 104kg (229 lbs)
Noted: Boston Dynamic spot: 14kg (30.9 lbs)

7. What sensor can add on the Top of the robot dog?

For Go1 Edu, provide Go1 Edu explorer, Go1 Edu Explorer is based on the Go1 Edu, just add some accessories, such as NVIDIA Jetson NX with software and Lidar with software.

After installing the lidar, Go1 Edu explorer will support dynamic obstacle avoidance, Navigation planning, Map building, Self-positioning. After installing the NX, Go1 Edu explorer will support gesture recognition, VSLAM, Professional secondary development (machine Learning, etc. )

Go1 Edu also Support high-definition image transmission system (similar to DJI drones), and people following function (adopted wireless vector positioning system), Go1 Edu has the ability to handle uneven terrains and do a lot of movements, like roll over, jump, stand upside down / stand upside down, walking, brisk walking, running, etc.

Customer can also add other sensor, like gas detection sensor, laser scanner, speaker, warning light, thermal camera and high-power search light etc. to do multiple application.

8. Is robot dog support 4G/5G and GPS?

Currently only Go1 Edu 4G, and B1 support 4G and 5G, and only B1 have build in GNSS to support GPS. Customer need build their own server to use 4G or 5G function.

9. What is the voltage and current of external power for Go1 Edu?
